Clark Influence x Wonderful Copenhagen: promoting sustainable tourism with CopenPay

At Clark Influence, we believe that influence marketing can be a powerful lever to inspire more responsible behavior.


With this in mind, we partnered with Wonderful Copenhagen, the tourism board of Denmark’s capital, to position Copenhagen as THE ultimate sustainable destination.



Introducing CopenPay : a sustainable tourism initiative


Through the CopenPay initiative, the city invites tourists to enjoy activities while contributing to environmentally friendly tourism. A free kayak tour ? Just pick up trash along the way. A complimentary coffee ? Bring your reusable cup ! Free entry to an exhibition ? Simply get there by bike or public transport.


This initiative will run for 4 weeks during the summer of 2024, and our goal was to spotlight it with an influencer strategy targeting the French and Italian markets.


Two complementary creators :


To bring this campaign to life, we collaborated with :


  • Axelle (@withaxie) in France: with over 240K followers, Axelle speaks primarily to a French audience. As a travel creator, her lighthearted and spontaneous tone resonates strongly with her community.


  • Silvia (@parlasostenibile) in Italy: with over 230K followers, Silvia’s content focuses on eco-responsibility, blending accessible tips and practical advice with a sustainability focus.





Creative content to inspire change :


We gave Axelle and Silvia the freedom to share their unique perspectives on the CopenPay initiative. This approach allowed them to create content aligned with their personal styles, maximizing authenticity and engagement with their audiences.


Using diverse formats (stories, carousel, and reels), they showcased how CopenPay works while sharing their thoughts on the initiative (spoiler alert : they both hope to see similar initiatives introduced in their own cities and countries.).




Results that highlight the campaign’s success and the initiative’s appeal :


Fueled by the engagement of our two creators and the quality of their content, the campaign achieved over 3.5 million views, including 1.9 million organic views, accompanied by an impressive engagement rate of 10.43%.


These results demonstrate the strong connection established with their audiences.
